Payday

I used to love it.
To see my bank account replenished was a thrill.
Now it's a little different.
Being a business owner means that payday is when your bank account takes a hit.
Especially now that our staff, and therefore payroll, is increasing.
9 month old
Just a cute pic, nothing to do with the topic.
That is all.

Remember That Car?

I posted about this little green car that followed me to the grocery store the other day.
I had no idea what it was but just liked it.
Then my great friend Christy found it's sibling!
Austin Healey Sprite
It's an Austin Healey Sprite.
This one is much more polished but has that same smile.

Mama Guilt

I was told that you never really know guilt until you're a parent.
I always found this hard to believe
Now I believe it.
I am constantly feeling guilty.
If Cedric stays in the jumper a little long so I can post...guilty.
If Fiona gets KD for lunch...guilty.
If we watch more than a couple hours of TV in a day...guilty.

Well Sunday was a biggie.
We went out for my wonderful friend Jenna's stagette on Saturday night.
I arrived home at 4am, overindulged.
Sunday.
Was.
Rough.
Pre-kids I would have stayed in bed all day.
However, I already felt guilty for not being around all day Saturday so at 7:30 I was up.
I willed myself into getting out of bed and hanging with Fiona, my will faded.
Have I mentioned my husband is wonderful?
He took pity on me and let me go back to bed.
{He did laugh at me all day though, not so wonderful.}
At 10:30 I didn't feel much better but needed to get moving.
We had Cirque de Soleil tickets.
This was supposed to be Fiona's special outing with Mommy and Daddy.
It was the last thing I felt like doing.
Jeff said, "stay home, I'll take her".
I thought about it, considered it, then started to cry.
The thought that I would miss a day for my little girl because I went out was unbearable.
I couldn't stand the guilt!
I then proceeded to wash my face, belt my dress and suck it up.
Mama and daughter
So tell me parents wiser {notice I didn't say older} than me does the guilt ever go away?

"I Like a Mama"

This may sound like a term of endearment at first.
The translation, however, is "I'm being like Mama".
We hear this a lot.
Fiona crosses her legs "like a Mama", dresses "like a Mama", and nurses her baby "like a Mama".
The cutest version of this happened when we were out for a walk a couple days ago.
Fiona had brought Elmo along and asked Daddy to help her be "like a Mama".
As she tried to stuff her little red monster into her tank top Daddy figured out what she was talking about.
We were just two Mamas with our babies wrapped tight.

I know someday she may cringe at the thought of being "like a Mama" so I'm enjoying it while I can.
Have a great weekend!

Now That's a Bumper

I feel like I've been neglecting the "auto" part of this blog.
Then Jeff saved the day with some pics of an after-market bumper they just installed.
It was a bit of a challenge at first because they had to move the after-market intercooler out of the way but it was smooth sailing from then on.

The thing is 200 lbs of pure steel.
This would be the reason it is lovingly known by some as a "Moose Killer".

Guest Post at Hot Mama

I had been meaning to write about Cedric's birth for a while.
For me, reading stories about breech births gave me strength so I wanted to put mine out there.

Well, a couple weeks ago I saw that the Hot Mama Network was looking for guest bloggers.
I jumped at the chance and it was posted yesterday.

I know it's a little long but you'd be amazed at how much I left out. {You're welcome for that.}

Our New Friend

We spent our morning with the cutest little redhead you've ever seen.
This was the first time Cedric has looked big to me and I gotta say, it was a little sad.
Fiona practiced saying "Hi Baby Ch-loe"the whole way there.
{I get a kick out of how her whole tongue is involved in saying the letter "L".}
Of course when we arrived she got a little stage fright but eventually got it out.
She even got to hold her.
Now she won't stop asking "Where Baby Ch-loe Mama?".
